Capturing exhibits with your phone camera

What this solves: Getting a physical document into ExhibitPro without a scanner.

Quick answer: Click Use phone camera at the bottom of Select Files, scan the QR code with your phone, and snap photos — they land in your Selected Files automatically.

Steps:

  1. On the ExhibitPro dashboard, click Use phone camera.
  2. Scan the pairing QR code with your phone camera and open the link.
  3. Take a photo of each document. Photos appear in Selected Files automatically — no refresh.
  4. When you’re done shooting, come back to the desktop and Generate as usual.

What to know

  • Plan availability: included on both Solo and Firm.
  • Any network works — cellular, different Wi-Fi, hotspot — the phone doesn’t need to be on the same Wi-Fi.
  • Pairing lifespan: the QR code has a 15-minute idle timeout (it slides forward while you’re actively pairing; there’s no hard session cap).
  • Security: treat the QR / pairing link like a temporary write-only upload key — don’t share it or screenshot it publicly. Anyone with the link can add photos to your session until it expires.
  • Photos arrive as JPG/PNG in Selected Files.
