Adding or removing a prefix on every label
What this solves: Applying “Exhibit”, “Tab”, or another word to every label at once — or stripping one off.
Quick answer: Open the Prefixes panel in Customize Labels. Fill in Prefix to Add to prepend, Prefix to Remove to strip existing prefixes before processing.
Prefix to Add
- Placeholder: e.g., Exhibit, Tab, Document.
- Applied to every label. Example: entering “Exhibit” turns “A” into “Exhibit A”.
Prefix to Remove
- Placeholder: e.g., Exhibit, Tab.
- Strips that word from existing label text before processing. Useful when your source files already contain “Exhibit” in their names.
